Methods & Approaches in English Language Education in Türkiye

Parallel to the changes in the world English language teaching history, the methods used to teach English in Turkey changed. This book is designed to provide a detailed account of major trends in English language teaching in Turkey to indicate the effort spent to provide quality and up-to-date language education. The methods used to teach English are explained in detail with the goals and objectives to be achieved, and the techniques that will be used to teach and practice. They are reflected in the programs and course books defined by the Ministry of National Education. Therefore, the programs and curricula prepared by the Ministry of National Education, and the course books either prepared, or evaluated and identified as the course book to be used in classroom instruction in English courses are listed, and sample units are displayed to better understand the application of the theory of the methods in the design of the units in the course books and its procedure.
